Positive News On AEW Star’s Injury Scare

A former TNT Champion may have dodged a major injury scare. Scorpio Sky tweaked his elbow on the November 19 episode of AEW Dynamite during a trios match, but according to Bryan Alvarez, it does not appear to be a serious issue at this time.

The incident occurred while Sky was teaming with Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin) against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Josh Alexander. Sky started favoring his left elbow following a Nick Jackson facebuster. He continued to grab at the elbow and threw punches while holding his arm to the side throughout the rest of the match.

Despite the injury, Sky continued to do several spots in the bout. SkyFlight ultimately lost the match after Dante Martin was forced to submit to Josh Alexander’s Ankle Lock.

Alvarez did not state what the specific problem was with the 42-year-old Sky’s elbow or if he is expected to be out for any specific period of time. The news comes after Sky returned to AEW in July following a nearly two-year absence. Since his return, he formed the SkyFlight faction alongside Top Flight, Christopher Daniels, and Leila Grey, and has wrestled seven times in AEW/ROH, including three matches in November.

SkyFlight was not announced for a match at Full Gear this Saturday, November 22, and Sky is expected to take time away from the ring to recover before embarking on another run in 2026.
