Roderick Strong had a scary moment while working a match on Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage.
Strong’s arrival
Strong made a surprise debut on an April 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite when there was a segment with Adam Cole and Chris Jericho. Before showing up in AEW, Strong disappeared from WWE television after being used in NXT for years as there had been rumblings since last year that he wanted this released, but WWE wouldn’t grant it. While in All Elite Wrestling, he had a run with Kyle O’Reilly as a tag team before Kyle was sidelined with an injury.
While working a singles match with Action Andretti on the broadcast, Andretti hit a Spanish Fly on Strong, who landed right on the top of his head and was clutching his head right away, with the referee right there to check on him.
Great news
Strong would finish the match despite the scary moment. This morning, F4Wonline’s Bryan Alvarez took to Twitter to note that Strong is okay.
