MJF is one of the top stars that AEW will be without for the foreseeable future coming out of All Out.
The opener of All Out saw Daniel Garcia vs. MJF in a singles match. The finish called for MJF to hit a low blow as the referee didn’t see it and hit the jackknife for the win.
Post-match, Garcia shook MJF’s hand and hit a low blow. Garcia hit a second rope piledrive, and MJF got stretchered out. It was reported coming out of the show that MJF and fellow former World Heavyweight Champion Swerve Strickland were taking time off.
Ibou of WrestlePurists.com reports MJF is expected to go film a movie. It was added that the original plan called for Garcia to go over MJF in a clean finish.
AEW has yet to confirm what Garcia will be doing on tonight’s episode of Dynamite. It’s unclear exactly when MJF and Strickland will be back on AEW television.
