Reason why The Young Bucks didn’t appear on last week’s AEW Dynamite

Many fans picked up on The Young Bucks not appearing on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, night two of the Fyter Fest special.

On this show, Doc Gallows beat Frankie Kazarian. After the match, there was a segment that saw Gallows, Karl Anderson and Kenny Omega have a standoff and brawl with the Dark Order and Adam Page.

The AEW World Tag Team Champions were missing in action to help out their pals.

Dave Meltzer noted on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the reason The Young Bucks didn’t appear on the show was due to Matt Jackson not being there because of a family issue despite Nick Jackson being there.

“This last week…you noticed The Young Bucks wasn’t on TV Wednesday. Nick Jackson was there, but they figured that in that run-in thing that it would look weird if Nick was there. Matt did not come, he had a family issue.”

AEW has already confirmed that Omega, Bucks, and Good Brothers will face Page and Dark Order in a 10-man elimination tag match on Wednesday’s Dynamite, the Fight for the Fallen special.

The stipulation to go along with the match is if the babyfaces win then Page gets a shot at Omega’s World Championship, and Dark Order gets a shot at the Bucks’ Tag Team Titles..
