REPORT: AEW Star’s Contract Is Set To Expire Soon, WWE Interested

One AEW star has a big decision to make in a few months as his contract is slated to expire, and he will need to decide whether he should stay with All Elite Wrestling or explore the free agent market, where he reportedly has interest from the biggest game in town. 

Penta El Zero Miedo has worked for countless promotions, including AAA, MLW, TNA Impact, CMLL, and Lucha Underground. He is a former one-time TNA World Champion and a two-time Lucha Underground Champion. 

He’s also a former AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion, AAA World Tag Team Champion, AEW World Tag Team Champion, one-time AEW World Trios Champion, PWG World Tag Team Champion, Impact World Tag Team Champion, MLW World Tag Team Champion, and AAA Latin American Champion. He has been with AEW since 2019, where he found success as both a singles star and a tag team player with his brother, Rey Fenix.

Miedo’s contract expires between August and September 2024, according to LuchaLibreonline. WWE is said to be interested. 

“Pentagón Jr’s contract with AEW is scheduled to expire between August and September 2024. He is scheduled to become a free agent. There is interest on the part of WWE in his services. This free agency will be extremely interesting,” reads a translation of the post. 

No mention was made of his brother and tag team partner regarding both his status with AEW and whether WWE is interested.
