AEW has a lot of talent under contract, with a mixture of inexperienced stars and established veteran talent.
Various promotions have hosted events for years, while other promoters have had autograph signings in whatever city WWE is hosting WrestleMania each year. Before Tony Khan bought ROH, the promotion would also hold a show on WrestleMania weekend.
AEW has yet to announce its plans for ROH Supercard of Honor, which historically takes place on WrestleMania weekend, although there have been rumblings that it may not take place as it usually does this year. Now, a new report suggests that fans shouldn’t expect to see younger talent under contract with AEW wrestle on WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote, “According to one person involved with booking talent at the independent level, AEW younger talent are not allowed to do matches in Las Vegas over Mania week.”
AEW nor Tony Khan have yet to comment on this situation publicly.
