Rey Fenix Books Independent Appearance Amid AEW Absence

Rey Fenix has an upcoming booking while waiting for his AEW contract to expire.

The AEW star has not wrestled on AEW programming since the July 20 episode of AEW Collision and hasn’t been active in the ring since the CMLL event on July 26. The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) are interested in WWE, but they won’t be coming in together anytime soon.

Penta’s deal has expired with AEW. However, AEW is tacking on injury time which is nearly one year to Fenix’s deal. This comes after AEW CEO Tony Khan made significant offers to both of them to stay, but they wouldn’t sign a new deal.

House of Glory announced that Fenix will be at their HOG Live For The Moment event on December 20. As of this writing, whether he will be wrestling has not been specified. For now, it’s just a meet and greet.
