Ric Flair Is Not Currently Factored Into AEW’s Creative Plans

Ric Flair joined AEW last year after being revealed as Tony Khan’s gift to Sting ahead of his retirement at the Revolution PPV.

Flair said he couldn’t pass on this opportunity and wanted to be along for the ride with Sting until his retirement at Revolution. As Dave Meltzer pointed out, there haven’t been any graphics for the drink on AEW television lately, and unless something changes, it doesn’t appear fans will see ads for it in the future.

This is notable as Flair’s deal with AEW was very similar to Randy Savage’s with WCW in the mid-1990s. Tony Khan has confirmed that AEW had been getting paid by Wooooo Energy for all of his appearances.

Fightful reports Flair isn’t factored into any creative plans for now. It was added that the partnership between AEW and Woooo is effectively finished. Flair hasn’t been seen on AEW television since Revolution.
