Ricky Saints Names A Key Difference Between WWE And AEW

Ricky Saints has now spent time in both AEW and WWE, and he has pinpointed the biggest difference between the two companies.

The former Ricky Starks left AEW on February 10, 2025, and wasted no time making the jump, debuting on WWE’s NXT brand just one day later before eventually adopting the Ricky Saints name.

Appearing on The Happy Hour, Saints was asked what first stood out to him about WWE compared to AEW. While he noted that the two promotions are largely similar, he did highlight one clear distinction: WWE’s meticulous, detailed planning.

“Everyone loves to ask this question, and I feel so bad because sometimes I go, ‘Eh, nothing really. It’s kind of all the same.’ But if I had to give you a for sure, I think the whole process of how your day starts off,” Saints said.

Saints explained that WWE maps out a performer’s entire day well in advance, which he views as a major positive.

“It’s laid out for you in the sense of, ‘Here’s your media. Here’s where you’re gonna be at this time. Here’s what you’re gonna do at this hour, and then you’ll go to the venue and wrestle,'” Saints said. “So when it comes to that, it’s nicer to have things planned out for me. It’s almost down to the full details.”
