Ricochet and Bandido emerged as the final two survivors in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The victory secures both men a spot in a singles match next week to determine the holder of the Dynamite Diamond Ring.
The field included Shelton Benjamin, Ricochet, Josh Alexander, Mark Davis, Luchasaurus, Anthony Bowens, Bandido, Ace Austin, Brody King, Max Caster, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona.
Match Recap
The bout began with an altercation on the entrance ramp, as Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona attacked Brody King and Bandido before entering the ring. Once the match officially commenced, Anthony Bowens and Max Caster teased tension before executing their signature “Scissor Me Timbers” maneuver. Ricochet subsequently eliminated Caster. Before a commercial break, Mark Davis eliminated both Ace Austin and Anthony Bowens.
Upon returning to the broadcast, Josh Alexander eliminated Shelton Benjamin. Luchasaurus eliminated Mark Davis but was immediately thrown over the top rope by Alexander.
The Finish
The final sequence saw Brody King deliver a Death Valley Driver to Ricochet onto Toa Liona in the corner. After escaping an ankle lock from Alexander, King rolled through, allowing Bandido to hit a monkey flip that eliminated Alexander.
With the field narrowed, Liona attempted to eliminate Bandido. However, Brody King tackled Liona over the top rope, eliminating both Liona and himself to save his tag team partner. Bandido then secured his spot in the final two by eliminating Bishop Kaun with a hurricanrana over the top rope.
Ricochet and Bandido will face off next week for the prize.
