Riho suffered a broken collarbone while wrestling Britt Baker at AEW Battle of the Belts

Riho is on the sidelines while dealing with an injury that she first teased last week. It turns out that the injury is a broken collarbone.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Riho is expected to be out of action for three months. The injury happened when she challenged Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship at last month’s Battle of the Belts special on TNT.

The spot of the injury suffered is unknown, but it was said to be early in the match. Despite the pain, Riho finished the match and never complained about her injury.

Baker retained her AEW Women’s Championship by submitting Riho with the Lockjaw. Riho is back in Japan while recovering. Riho got the title match after beating Baker in a non-title match on the Black Friday episode of Rampage last November.

We wish Riho a speedy recovery.
