Thunder Rosa announced on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite that she had to pull out of her scheduled bout against Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s Title at All Out due to injury.
Storm vs. Britt Baker vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Hikaru Shida has been booked in a fatal 4-way bout at All Out to crown the Interim Women’s Champion.
Rosa will remain the Women’s Champion, and when she’s cleared to wrestle again, she will face the Interim Women’s World Champion to unify the titles.
Following that announcement, a story was going around on social media that Rosa has been suspended by the company and is not injured. Pwinsider.com reports they were told by multiple sources that “there is zero truth to that story and her injury required a change in AEW plans for the PPV.”
It’s still unclear what type of injury Rosa is dealing with, the severity of it, or how long she will be out of action.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed the original plans for this title match at All Out.
