Sammy Guevara defeated Cody Rhodes to become the unified TNT Champion during AEW Dynamite.
Rhodes and Guevara battled in a ladder match with two belts hanging over the ring. Guevara was initially crowned the interim TNT Champion in a match against Dustin Rhodes at Battle of the Belts earlier this month because Cody was not able to wrestle on that show due to medical protocols.

Tonight’s match included some big spots involving the ladders as expected, including a big suplex spot off a giant ladder that was set up in the ring. Rhodes also put Guevara in a figure four through a ladder. About 15 minutes into the match, Guevara springboarded off the top of a ladder to hit a cutter on Rhodes off a second ladder. Rhodes later hit a Cross Rhodes off a ladder. Late in the match, Fuego Del Sol ran in to yell at Rhodes for continuing to punish Guevara instead of climbing the ladder. Rhodes then proceeded to hit Del Sol with a Tiger Driver.
Around 20 minutes into the match, hit a Swanton Bomb off the top onto Rhodes who was positioned on a ladder that did not break. The finish of the match saw both men climb the ladder but Guevara knocked out Rhodes with one of the belts. Guevara then grabbed both belts to win the match.
