Saraya Says Tony Khan “Left The Door Open” For Future AEW Return

Saraya has revealed that despite her departure from All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, the possibility of a future return remains. Speaking in a new interview with Women’s Wrestling Talk, the former AEW Women’s Champion stated that AEW President Tony Khan was very supportive of her exit and did not close the door on a comeback.

Saraya announced she was leaving AEW in March 2025, initially citing that she felt she had nothing left to accomplish in the promotion. She has since discussed a potential WWE return but now confirms AEW is also still an option down the line.

Describing her conversation with Khan about her departure, Saraya said, “I was, alright, time for me to bow out. Tony was amazing with it. It ended up being mutual, which is great.” She emphasized Khan’s positive reaction: “He was extremely supportive about my future endeavors and he encouraged me and the door was left open, which is great.”

She added that the decision came after reflection: “…it was just a lot of brainstorming on my time off where I was, okay, now it’s time for me to bow out gracefully.” With the door seemingly open, fans can speculate if Saraya will one day make her way back to an AEW ring.
