Scott D’Amore Was Backstage At AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage was a newsworthy show from Broadbent Arena in Louisville, KY, and also had an interesting name backstage. The show featured the return of Samoa Joe, Kenny Omeg’s first match in AEW since December 2023, Toni Storm becoming the #1 contender for the AEW Women’s Title, and Jon Moxley retaining the World title over Powerhouse Hobbs in the main event.

PWInsider.com reports that Maple Leaf Wrestling owner and former TNA President Scott D’Amore was backstage at the show. It’s unclear why he was there. It’s possible he was just visiting friends.

The Ontario-based promotion aims to give Canadian talent a spotlight. At their inaugural shows last year, they featured stars from AEW, NJPW, TNA, and ROH. This past November, he took a tour of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.

As of this writing, there is no word yet on when MLPW may pick back up and hold its next show.
