Shaquille O’Neal says he will be wrestling again this summer

NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal wants to work another match inside of the squared circle.

During Thursday’s episode of Inside the NBA on TNT, Shaq was asked when he will be wrestling again to which he responded, “soon, this summer.” He was asked this by Kenny Smith after a wrestling-related GIF was shown in a tweet that was read on the show.

O’Neal worked his first match under the AEW banner this past March when he teamed with Jade Cargill to defeat Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet in a mixed tag match on an episode of Dynamite. He received praise for his work including the finish as he went through two tables on the floor before being put into an ambulance.

AEW did an angle where Tony Schiavone tried to speak with Shaq in the ambulance but when he opened the door, the NBA legend was gone.

Shaq previously made his in-ring debut as an entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WWE WrestleMania 32 in 2016 where he had his famous staredown with The Big Show.
