Shelton Benjamin On The Hurt Syndicate: ‘We Have A Bit More Control Of Our Destiny’ In AEW

In a recent interview on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Shelton Benjamin discussed the reunion of The Hurt Syndicate in AEW and contrasted it with their previous run as The Hurt Business in WWE.

The Hurt Syndicate, currently the AEW World Tag Team Champions, formed in AEW in late 2024, reuniting Benjamin with former Hurt Business members Bobby Lashley and MVP. Their time as The Hurt Business in WWE, which also included Cedric Alexander, was often praised by fans but many felt it ended prematurely.

“Well, first of all, being actually seen in front of a live crowd. That’s a good start, but I think this time around we have a bit more control of our destiny, obviously, a lot more. What happened before, everything ended way prematurely. None of us were happy about that, and by us, I mean everyone. So the fact that we’re able to come here and give you the product that we want to give you and everything’s going great, we’re having the time of our lives.”
