AEW is just days away from having Warner Bros. Discovery announce the premiere of their newly weekly two-hour television show on TNT, AEW Collision, as well as its new television deal. The news is expected to be made next Wednesday at the UpFronts presentation.
The new series joins Dynamite and Rampage, which will air every week across TNT and TBS, starting June 17.
All Elite Wrestling will also get a boost in star power with the return of CM Punk, who is slated to make his return on the premiere episode. The former AEW World Heavyweight Champion has been away since All Out last year due to the brawl with The Elite and suffering an injury in the All Out main event.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the debut episode of the show will be billed as ‘AEW Collision, The Second Coming.’
As previously reported, there has been talk of Punk working with Chris Jericho when he returns, although Punk has angled to work with another wrestler. For more on that, click here.
