Spoiler on Top Match Planned for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam

AEW will hold its third stadium show in company history in the United States with the Grand Slam special edition of Dynamite and Rampage in New York City at the USTA Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 20th.

The promotion is coming off the historic All In at Wembley Stadium and All Out in Chicago.

AEW held its first stadium show in September 2021 with Dynamite’s Grand Slam special edition. The 2022 event featured Jon Moxley defeating Bryan Danielson to win the vacant AEW World Heavyweight Title in the headliner.

On Wednesday night, while taping Friday’s Rampage episode, it was announced that Sammy Guevara would face Chris Jericho at Dynamite: Grand Slam.

It happened when Guevara confronted Jericho, who was on commentary. Jericho suggested that the two face off in a match to get past their issues before going after the AEW Tag Team Titles.

AEW has already confirmed that MJF will defend the World Heavyweight Title against the ongoing World Title Eliminator Tournament winner at Grand Slam. You can check out the Rampage spoilers here.
