SPOILER: Top Star Returns From Hiatus, Makes Big Worlds End Announcement At AEW Dynamite Tapings

MJF has made his long-awaited return to AEW television, crashing the Holiday Bash special to insert himself into the main event of Worlds End. The former AEW World Champion interrupted a contract signing between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, and Hangman Page, revealing that he was cashing in his Casino Gauntlet contract to make the title match a four-way bout.

During his promo, MJF addressed his absence and his motivations for returning. He directly responded to Hangman Page’s previous accusations of cowardice, stating that his actions were proof to the contrary. He also reignited his rivalry with Samoa Joe, expressing lingering resentment over losing the AEW World Championship to him two years ago.

The “Salt of the Earth” also took shots at Swerve Strickland, using a controversial comparison to mock his opponent, and referenced his own history with WWE. He closed the segment with a declaration that “rent is due,” signaling his intent to reclaim the top prize in the company.

This marked MJF’s first appearance since All Out 2025, where he was defeated by Mark Briscoe in a brutal Tables N Tacks match. His return adds a new dynamic to the Worlds End main event, which will take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
