Sting Files For A New Trademark

Sting, under his real name of Steve Borden, applied to trademark the term ‘Old Man Sting’ on January 7th with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

It was made through Michael E. Dockins. Here is the description of the term that is listed for entertainment:

“Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, televised appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, live, televised and movie appearances by a professional entertainer; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer.”

In February 2024, Sting’s career ended. He and Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Team Match at the AEW Revolution 2024 pay-per-view event.

Sting went over with the scorpion death lock on Matt Jackson.  He later made an appearance at All In, walking down to the ring to save Darby Allin at All In.
