Sting name-drops Ric Flair during AEW Rampage
Tony Schiavone conducted an in-ring interview with Darby Allin and Sting on this week’s AEW Rampage. Allin addressed Shawn Spears, who he will face on Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite.
Sting said that Tully Blanchard rode on the coattails of Ric Flair and Arn Anderson for years and he was ready to step into the ring with Blanchard. Blanchard walked out on the stage and the distraction allowed Spears to walk out and attack Allin at ringside.
On Dynamite, it was hinted at that we might see Blanchard and Sting face off again. Presumably, that would be in a tag team match situation to protect both guys.
It is interesting that Sting namedropped Flair during his promo since it’s rumored that Flair will be making his AEW debut soon. Flair was backstage in Chicago during All Out weekend.
