Stokely Hathaway, the outspoken manager of FTR, has revealed his “secret plan” for his team’s upcoming match against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage at AEW All Out. In a new interview, FTR is looking to end the careers of their opponents.
Speaking on the TMZ Inside The Ring podcast, Hathaway was asked about his strategy for the match. After praising the talent of his opponents, he revealed the extent to which they have prepared, a plan that goes far beyond simply studying old match footage.
“Well, here’s the thing about Adam and Christian. I’ve said a lot of bad things about them, but I will say they are incredibly talented, and they have an immense body of work that we can study. You know, thankfully, with technology and everything else, you know, we don’t need to go to, like Blockbuster and get a VHS or, like a DVD. Everything that they have ever done is pretty much online. So we just plan to study that, obviously. Just take a look at their weaknesses. I’m not going to name any names, but someone that I know was able to hack a medical facility database, Adam Copeland’s neck. So, I don’t know who did it, but that is a part of the plan, too. So we know exactly what parts to pick out of both of them.”
Hathaway was clear that his goal for FTR is not just to win the match, but to end the careers of Copeland and Christian. He hopes that their wives and children will be in attendance to witness the carnage in their hometown of Toronto.
“I appreciate everything you have done for professional wrestling. I’m sure FTR does too. But unfortunately, a little legacy, the run that you have been on, it is going to end this Saturday, and I have the privilege the honor of being there up close in person, right there by the ring. I hope your wives are there. I hope your children are there, and yeah, in your hometown, you are going to retire, you are going to walk away, and AEW in that tag division will belong to the greatest tag team alive today. Cash Wheeler, Dax, Harwood, FTR.”
