Ticket sales for AEW’s next pay-per-view event, Full Gear, are off to a hot start. This will be AEW’s first show at the Target Center.
Pre-sale tickets for the event went on sale earlier in the week and sold around 5,000 tickets. For the general public, tickets were released on Friday.
According to WrestleTix, the show has sold around 8,586 tickets thus far. The capacity is set up for 10,226 seats and there are 1,640 left. If AEW opens up the upper deck then the capacity would be 13,407.

It should be also noted that Minneapolis is not considered a strong market for AEW so these ticket numbers are impressive and it looks like they are on their way towards a sell out.
Originally, this event was slated to be held on November 6th from the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri, but the promotion moved the show back a weekend due to strong competition on the original date. As noted, WWE Survivor Series is struggling to sell tickets at the Barclays Center. Full Gear has sold more tickets thus far than the rival show.
In January 2020 if you were told an AEW PPV show in Minneapolis would be outselling a WWE big four event at the Barclays Center a week later, what would the reaction be? And what would it be in October 2021?
