Swerve Strickland Already Back In The Gym After Successful Surgery

AEW star Swerve Strickland is already back to work just days after undergoing successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus. In a new post on his social media, the former AEW World Champion gave fans a look at his post-surgery workout, a clear sign that he is focused on making a quick return to the ring. There is still no official word on a timetable for his comeback.

Strickland’s surgery, which took place on August 27, was to repair a knee injury that he has reportedly been dealing with since 2019. In a previous post, he had confirmed that the surgery was a success. He was officially written off of AEW television at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, where his knee was targeted in a post-match beatdown by the AEW Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada, and the Don Callis Family.

The storyline exit for Strickland was necessary for him to get the procedure. His absence, along with the impending surgery for Will Ospreay, has created a void at the top of the AEW main event scene. The former champion’s dedication to his recovery is a positive sign for a hopeful and quick return.

The rivalry with Okada and the Don Callis Family was left unresolved, providing a clear storyline for him to step back into when he is medically cleared to compete. We wish him a speedy recovery. The post-surgery workout video can be seen below:
