The AEW-Impact Wrestling relationship has ended for now but the door is still open

During his interview on Wrestling Observer Live, Tony Khan says that there is nothing booked right now with Impact Wrestling but the door is still open to work with them in the future.

Ringside News first reported a couple of weeks ago that the AEW-Impact relationship was ending after Bound For Glory.

Christian Cage’s last booked appearance was at Bound For Glory where he lost the Impact World Championship to Josh Alexander in the main event that led to Moose cashing in on Alexander.

The relationship essentially closes the door, for now, on some matches that have been pitched by the talent. Dr. Britt Baker and Deonna Purrazzo, who are close friends in real life, have pitched working together as a team and against each other. That does not look to be in the cards at this point.

Kenny Omega, Christian Cage, Tony Khan, and several other AEW names have appeared on Impact Wrestling shows this year. The Good Brothers have been regulars on Dynamite this year alongside The Elite.
