The Elite may have to wait for potential legal action before returning from AEW suspension

Fans waiting to hear any news regarding Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks returning to AEW television from their suspension could be waiting a while.

AEW suspended Omega, The Young Bucks, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Michael Nakazawa, and Brandon Cutler following the backstage fight involving CM Punk and Ace Steel at AEW All Out. Omega and the Young Bucks won the AEW World Trios Championships at All Out by defeating Page and The Dark Order in the tournament finals but were stripped of the titles.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that none of the men had heard anything regarding when they could return.

Meltzer wrote, “regarding the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, they all hadn’t heard anything from the company at least as of a few days ago.”

AEW hasn’t addressed anything regarding the matter. Meltzer added, “the belief is that their situation is on hold pending potential legal action, which, unless cleared up, could delay things for some time, and there is also a second hold up that hasn’t been made clear.

Former AEW World Champion CM Punk is also still suspended while he recovers from getting surgery to fix a torn triceps muscle he suffered in his main event match with Jon Moxley at All Out.
