The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) did an interview with ScreenCrush and during it, they were asked about when fans can expect to see AEW start touring again.
Obviously, in March, AEW had to shut down touring with its weekly Dynamite TV show due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, they’ve run closed set TV tapings from Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place.
Only in the last several weeks have they been allowed to have fans in attendance at their shows, but with social distancing guidelines and masks wearing enforced.
Nick stated, “For the foreseeable future, you’ll see us at Daily’s Place. [AEW CEO] Tony [Khan]’s taking this pandemic very serious. He’s very cautious with putting wrestlers at risk, and we all agree with that. So I don’t think it will be any time soon. I’m not sure what the time table is, but I can’t even predict to be honest.
Matt noted that it’s up in the air just like with the rest of the world and everyone is waiting on how things play out whether they will be a vaccine and rapid testing. He noted that no one in the world really knows. He added, “For me, the sooner the better, but we’ll see. We’re not going to do it until it’s safe to go.”
Young Bucks also talked about a possible streaming deal, a new AEW show, their goals, and more. Check out the full interview here.
