The Young Bucks talk the importance of Shaquille O’Neal potentially appearing in AEW

The Young Bucks have been making the media rounds to promote its YOUNG BUCKS: Killing the Business from Backyards to the Big Leagues book, which is now available.

While doing an interview with WrestleZone, they were asked about Shaquille O’Neal potentially appearing in AEW. The former NBA star has wrestled in the past and was supposed to wrestle The Big Show at WrestleMania a few years ago, but the match never happened.

AEW teased Shaq heading to the promotion when Jade Cargill mentioned his name in a promo with Cody Rhodes. Shaq has expressed interest in wrestling Rhodes in the past, but nothing came about it.

Nick Jackson started out by noting that Shaq was backstage at the AEW Full Gear PPV event.

“I’m all for it because we need to try to get more eyeballs on our product and that’s definitely a way to get the fans that probably wouldn’t watch AEW Dynamite. He’s a celebrity, let’s face it. “Matt Jackson said. “He’s got a lot of fans so he’s probably gonna bring a lot of new eyeballs to whatever he does.”

There’s been no mention of Shaq in recent weeks on AEW television. It was reported back in August that O’Neal may step into the ring in AEW as part of new deal with WarnerMedia.
