Tommaso Ciampa published a video shortly after turning heel at AEW Collision on Saturday. Ciampa lost a singles match to Daniel Garcia on the show after a chaotic sequence involving Mark Briscoe, who was on commentary for the bout. After Garcia approached the commentary table, Briscoe climbed onto the ring apron; Ciampa collided with Briscoe while being sent into the ropes, allowing Garcia to secure a flash pinfall victory.
Following the match, FTR entered the ring to confront Ciampa, having previously offered to align with the former NXT Champion. Briscoe returned to the ring, seemingly to act as a peacemaker and prevent FTR from launching an attack. However, as Ciampa and Briscoe walked toward the backstage area, Ciampa suddenly tossed Briscoe headfirst into the stage area. The attack was a direct callback to Ciampa’s iconic betrayal of Johnny Gargano during their time in NXT.
The Return of the Psycho Killer
In a video posted to social media following the incident, Ciampa made his motivations clear, citing a lack of respect and his obsession with championship gold. “Tonight was my chance,” Ciampa said. “How do I get a rematch for my championship title with a loss tonight? And why the hell was he out there in the first place?” He expressed frustration with his recent babyface run, stating that it feels good to “no longer pretend.”
“What doesn’t feel good is the disrespect,” Ciampa continued. “I’m sick of it because I’m the best me! I’m the best damn wrestler alive! And nobody, not a soul, I mean nobody, gives me the respect that I deserve.” He concluded the chilling address by putting the entire roster on notice, officially reviving his most dangerous moniker: “So you wanna get real? Yeah, we can get real… March 7, 2026, the Psycho Killer is alive.”
Dynamite Implications and FTR Alliance
Despite the initial confrontation after the match, it appears Ciampa has found common ground with Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. Tommaso Ciampa will team with FTR to face the team of Mark Briscoe and The Young Bucks in a trios bout.
