Tommy Dreamer: ‘I’m Down For A Kyle Fletcher-Mick Foley Match’

Mick Foley made his presence felt on AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, and Tommy Dreamer came away hoping it leads to one more match for the Hardcore Legend.

During the show, Foley confronted Don Callis in a segment that had the WWE Hall of Famer teasing physical retribution. Recapping the moment on Busted Open Radio, Dreamer was thrilled to see Foley back on national television in that role.

“I love seeing Mick Foley back on national television. I love seeing Mick Foley in that light,” Dreamer said. “Mick Foley gives people credibility. He’s a great announcer, and Mick cared for a lot of talent.”

Dreamer explained that Foley’s gift for storytelling was on full display, building from his signature look to a tale about his shoes before turning up the intensity on Callis.

“He tells a story about his shoes, and you’re like, where is he gonna go? And then he tells it to the point of, if you ever disrespect me again, I’m basically gonna kick the s—- out of you, Don Callis,” Dreamer said.

For Dreamer, the segment opened the door to a potential in-ring return for Foley, provided he stays on his health journey.

“It gives me hope that Mick Foley might have another match. I feel Mick, if he continues his weight loss, and he’s cleared from any type of doctor saying you can’t wrestle, I think this is something that Mick Foley has always wanted to do,” Dreamer said.

Dreamer floated a potential opponent as well, expressing interest in seeing Foley mix it up with a younger star.

“I’m down for a Kyle Fletcher-Mick Foley match,” Dreamer said, while also noting that a program with the heat-drawing Callis could be a perfect fit. He even relished the idea of a classic Mr. Socko appearance at Callis’s expense.
