On October 5th, Toni Storm is set to challenge Mayu Iwatani for the IWGP Women’s Championship.
Storm hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since All In, when she lost the Women’s Title to Mariah May. There is still no word on when she will return to television.
As seen below, Storm and Mayu did a press conference to promote their upcoming match, where she mentioned a love affair she had with legendary wrestler Stan Hansen, who had a big career in Japan.
She said in character, “To make a long story short, I once had a 3 month love affair with Stan Hansen. And on our last night together, as my back was dripping with what turned out to be chewing tobacco, he turned to me and gave me some advice. When you’re in Japan, you’re a foreigner. But when you’re in the ring, they’re in your country. And then he gave her a lariat, but not with his arm.”
