The first-ever intergender match in company history will take place tonight on AEW Dark. The idea to do the match came from Kenny Omega after Tony Khan was seemingly not on board with the idea at first.

During last year's Fyter Press post-show press conference, Khan said that he was not thrilled with seeing Jordynne Grace getting hit in the face at All In so his stance was that we would not see men wrestling women on AEW shows. It looks like Omega was able to convince him to give the idea a try.

The match was filmed aboard Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager At Sea two weeks ago.
