Penelope Ford has only worked two matches for AEW in 2022 and hasn’t wrestled in quite a while.

One fan thought the promotion wasn’t using her because AEW President Tony Khan has given up on her. However, that’s not the case, as Khan clarified Ford’s status with AEW in a response to this fan on Twitter by noting that Ford is currently not cleared for in-ring action. Khan did not elaborate on the nature of Ford’s injury.

He wrote, “Not at all, total opposite in fact; she’s a great wrestler, and I can’t wait until she’s medically cleared to come back. She’s been in some classic @AEW matches, and hopefully she’ll be in many more!”

Ford, The Bunny, and Nyla Rose defeated Kris Statlander, Leyla Hirsch, and Red Velvet at the January 12 Rampage taping before working her most recent match on the January 15 episode of Dark when she defeated Angelica Risk.
