Tony Khan Comments On Fight Forever And The Future Of AEW Video Games

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan has confirmed that the company plans to produce more video games in the future, but their primary focus remains on supporting and expanding their first console game, “AEW Fight Forever.”

In an interview with Mr. Wright Way on YouTube, Khan acknowledged that “Fight Forever”, which launched in June 2023 to mixed reviews, was a valuable learning experience and a “great first entry” for AEW into the gaming world. He emphasized that the company is committed to supporting the game with further updates, including new wrestlers and content.

“People can still play AEW Fight Forever all over the world,” Khan stated. “And I think, eventually, absolutely we’ll keep putting AEW games into the world. But right now, we’re fully supporting that [Fight Forever]. There’s still more wrestlers and exciting things happening with the game.”

Despite this commitment to “Fight Forever,” reports surfaced in September that AEW is considering a different development partner for future games. “Fight Forever” was developed by Yuke’s, a studio with a long history in wrestling game development.

AEW has already found success in the mobile gaming market with titles like “AEW Rise to the Top” and “Figure Fighters.” It seems that expanding their presence in the console gaming world is a key part of their long-term strategy. Watch the full interview below.
