Tony Khan has dropped a big hint about how the negotiations are going between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery.
AEW’s TV rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery expires at the end of this year. Khan and David Zaslav were both in Paris for the Olympics, where they met for a meeting. Khan later acknowledged having a great meeting with the WBD executive.
A recent Fightful Select report noted sources said that before the most recent offer, WBD offered “at least double” the amount of their previous deal to AEW. However, a deal has yet to be announced.
While speaking to the live crowd following Friday’s Collision and Rampage, the AEW President teased that a TV deal is coming soon. He said, “I feel pretty good to say that AEW on TBS and TNT, I think, is here to say.”
