Case Lowe from Brian & Kenzie on Q101 spoke with Tony Khan to talk AEW and Saturday’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view and AEW Dynamite/Collision’s return to Wintrust Arena in Chicago on November 27.
The AEW partnership with CMLL is one of the many things discussed during the interview. Khan said this when asked about AEW possibly running shows in Mexico:
“I can’t wait eventually to bring AEW for the first time ever to Mexico.”
Khan on if there are plans for that to happen:
“I have never said so but I will say sooner or later, it absolutely has to happen. If I can go anywhere in Mexico and work with anyone in Mexico, I’d love to go to Arena Mexico and work with CMLL and bring AEW there for the first time ever. It would be amazing. I think [CMLL owner Salvador Lutteroth III] would be open to having us there. If he would have us, it would be an honor to go to Arena Mexico and bring AEW there sometime.”
