Tony Khan plans to lend some support to ROH for Final Battle PPV

Ring of Honor will present its Final Battle pay-per-view event this Saturday night and AEW President Tony Khan has stated that he will be helping out the promotion.

Khan talked about this historic event for ROH during his weekly appearance on Busted Open Radio to promote Friday's episode of Rampage. He started out by wishing them the best.

"I'll be doing some things to support them in their last show to make it a good show for them." He did not clarify what that exactly means, but the assumption would be in regards to talent.

"...Over the weekend, I am going to lend some support to them and try and help them out because it’s the right thing to do," Khan said.

It was announced on Thursday that World Champion Bandido had to pull out of the show where he was set to defend the title against Jonathan Gresham and no replacement has yet to be announced. If AEW talent does appear on the show, it’s likely to be announced ahead of time to further drive PPV buys or HonorClub subscriptions.

ROH has already confirmed that they will go on hiatus for the first quarter of 2022 to focus on what the future of the company will be. They will release all contract talent and use wrestlers on a per-date basis going forward with the expected return date being in April.
