AEW has already confirmed that The Young Bucks will challenge FTR for the Tag Team Titles at this Saturday’s Full Gear pay-per-view event.
Fans have picked up on Matt Jackson selling an ankle injury while working a tag team match against Private Party during Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite on TNT.
It turns out that Jackson is using a real injury that he suffered in storyline as the injury happened a few weeks ago.
This was explained by Bryan Alvarez on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
“The story with Matt is he has a partially torn MCL, and a thinning of the ACL which is considered a slight tear and that’s why they’re doing the ankle gimmick. So he has a legitimate injury and I guess he’s been rehabbing it and I guess they figure they can do the match. So basically the story is he’s just selling the ankle the whole time.”
Alvarez added that apparently, the injury happened when Matt did a flying dive off the stage while working a tag team match against The Butcher and The Blade.
