Top AEW star expected back soon

All Elite Wrestling will be getting another top star back in the form of Samoa Joe.

The ROH TV Champion has been off filming the Peacock series, “Twisted Metal,” based on the video game. Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith posted an image on Twitter revealing that the season has officially wrapped filming.

Twisted Metal has been described as a “high-octane action comedy” series and will include characters based on some of the different unique drivers from the games.

Joe will play the dual role of Sweet Tooth, voiced by Will Arnett. Here is the description of the character, courtesy of Deadline:

“Sweet Tooth is described as a hilarious and terrifying hulk of a man, who is as emotional as he is cunning. A lover of chaos, this majestic rage-filled killer dons an ever-smiling clown mask and uses ‘Lost Vegas’ as his own personal kill-ground, all while he drives his infamous doomsday ice cream truck”

Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr will also star in the series.

Joe last wrestled at the ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV by defeating Jay Lethal earlier this summer.
