Top AEW star pulls out of Double Or Nothing PPV due to injury
All Elite Wrestling has announced that Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. will not be able to compete on tomorrow night’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view due to injury.
Baker injured her right knee during a tag team match with Nyla Rose against Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida. It was clear that she was hurt after she was heavily favoring her leg during the match. Baker had trouble putting weight on the knee as she continued to try to do spots to finish out the match.
Although nothing is confirmed yet by AEW, the belief is that she has a serious injury that will keep her out of action for several months. AEW will provide an update on Baker at the pay-per-view.
As a result of the injury, Penelope Ford will replace Baker and will take on Statlander tomorrow night.
. @RealBrittBaker is out of #AEWDon due to injury. We will address her status at Double or Nothing tomorrow night. @callmekrisstat will now face @thePenelopeFord Live on Pay Per View.
