A familiar face is expected to be returning to All Elite Wrestling television soon. According to a report from Fightful Select, former TNT Champion Darby Allin’s return to the company is considered “imminent.”
Allin has been absent from AEW programming for all of 2025 as he embarked on an expedition to conquer Mount Everest. The trip, which was delayed by a year due to a previous injury, was expected to keep him away from the ring for several months.
The report notes that while the original hope was for Allin to be back in time for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, that timeline proved to be unrealistic. However, sources spoken to now believe his return is just around the corner and would be “shocked” if he is not involved in the AEW All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12 in some capacity.
Word within AEW is that Allin emerged from the Mount Everest climb “relatively unscathed” and is in shape to compete. As of now, there are no specific creative plans known for his return.
