The reason for Jamie Hayter’s recent absence from AEW television has been revealed. According to a report from Fightful Select, the former AEW Women’s World Champion is not currently medically cleared to appear on AEW programming.
Hayter has not been seen since the Dynamite episode following the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. On that show, she was written off television after being attacked by the debuting Thekla. This came just days after her loss to Mercedes Moné in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The report indicates that AEW would feature Hayter on its shows if she were cleared to participate, but she is currently sidelined. There is no timetable for her return, though the company is reportedly hopeful it will be soon.
This marks another unfortunate setback for Hayter, who has battled multiple long-term absences over the past two years. She previously missed over a year of action from 2023 to 2024 with a serious back injury and was also briefly away in early 2025 to renew her work visa in the United Kingdom.
