Top AEW Star To Be Gone From ‘For A While’

AEW found itself in controversy coming out of its latest pay-per-view event, All Out. They’ve also found themselves without two of its top stars.

One of those stars to be gone is Swerve Strickland, who put over Hangman Page in an Unsanctioned Steel Cage Match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event. The bout had several extreme moments.

They took several bumps on a cinderblock. Swerve hit a foot stomp through a table and even used an edge of burnt wood to stab Page in the head. Things got even more extreme as Page ripped the grill out of Swerve’s mouth, used a needle, and then stabbed him in the mouth with it.

Page with a chair shot to the head that knocked out Swerve. Coming out of the show, it was reported that Strickland is taking time off from AEW.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Strickland will be out of action ‘for a while’ and he “might not” appear at the WrestleDream pay-per-view event on October 12th.
