AEW presented a loaded episode of Dynamite this week, and there was an interesting name backstage at the show.
The return of Hangman Page, MJF’s heel turn, AEW International Champion Will Ospreay going over Daniel Garcia, Britt Baker’s promo segment with Mercedes Mone, and the continuation of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament took place on the show episode from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL.
It also served as the fallout episode from Forbidden Door and built up to next week’s episode of Dynamite, which will feature the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
PWInsider.com reports TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali was backstage visiting at the show. Although AEW has had a working relationship with TNA in the past, TNA is currently in a partnership with WWE.
Since leaving WWE in 2023, he has found great success in TNA and NJPW. He is currently the TNA X-Division Champion and will defend the title against Mike Bailey at the TNA Slammiversary PPV event on July 20.
