The return of Jake “The Snake” Roberts to pro wrestling on AEW Dynamite is getting a ton of buzz on social media. The segment is getting rave reviews because of the excellent promo work by Roberts, who clearly still knows how to tell a story as good as anyone in the business.
It looks like Roberts will become a manager for someone debuting sometime in the near future to kick off a feud with Cody Rhodes. Roberts did not say who his client is but the social media speculation is pointing to Brodie Lee (former WWE star Luke Harper). AEW Dynamite will be in Rochester, NY for the March 18th episode so that would be a good time for his debut.
It appears that Randy Orton watched the segment because shortly after the show ended, he posted a GIF of himself hitting Roberts with the RKO on a Monday Night Raw segment from 2005.
For anyone that thinks this is meant at shot at AEW, keep in mind that Randy and Cody are friends and Jake is friends with Randy’s father Bob Orton. If anything, posting this GIF only drives more attention to AEW. So if he is trolling, he is doing a bad job of it.
