Trey Miguel has been released from his contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). According to a report from Fightful Select, the release occurred within days of Miguel signing a new deal with the company.
Miguel had recently joined the promotion alongside his fellow Rascalz stablemates—Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, and Myron Reed—following the expiration of his contract with TNA Wrestling at the end of 2025. The release comes just over a week after the group was signed.
Miguel Announces Break From Wrestling
News of the release followed a statement posted by Miguel on his personal Instagram account on January 18. In the post, Miguel declared his intention to step away from the industry for the time being.
“Taking a break from wrestling,” Miguel wrote. “Please respect my space and don’t tag me in any posts or comments. Go support the Rascalz still..”
Absence from Television
The situation became apparent during the January 17 episode of AEW Collision, which featured an appearance by the Rascalz. Miguel was noticeably absent from the segment. Fightful Select noted that Miguel “was not backstage on January 14 when it was filmed.”
Regarding the circumstances of the departure, the report stated, “We were not provided a reason for the release, outside of AEW remaining on amicable terms with him.”
Miguel had been a fixture in TNA Wrestling since 2018. While his partners Wentz and Xavier previously signed with WWE, performing as MSK, Miguel remained with TNA during that period. The faction, including Miguel, eventually reunited on TNA television toward the end of 2025 before making the move to AEW.
