AEW is in Edinburg, Texas, tonight for a special “Fright Night Dynamite” at the Bert Ogden Arena. The event features several Halloween-themed matches, including two Fright Night 4-Way Fights and a Trick-or-Treat tornado tag team match.
Don Callis Family Summit
Don Callis will host a family summit tonight. For weeks, tension has grown between AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita, despite Callis’s efforts to keep the peace. The summit aims to get everyone on the same page, as the growing hatred between the two champions threatens to tear the faction apart.
Women’s Tag Tournament Begins
The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament officially begins tonight with a quarterfinal match. Queen Aminata and Jamie Hayter will face the Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue). Last week, Hayter and Aminata won a 4-way tag team match, which earned them the right to choose their opponents for the first round. They are seeking revenge against the members of the Triangle of Madness and advancing in the tournament.
Death Riders In Action
The Death Riders will be active in two matches on the card. Jon Moxley goes one-on-one with Kyle O’Reilly in a rematch from last week. Their previous match ended in a disqualification when Moxley opted to punch the referee rather than fight out of O’Reilly’s submission.
Additionally, former rivals-turned-teammates Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta will be in Trick Or Treat tornado tag team action versus Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy, who remain committed to taking down the Death Riders.
Fright Night 4-Way Fights
Two Fright Night 4-Way Fights are scheduled with implications for Full Gear. The first match will determine the next challenger for the AEW Men’s World Championship, featuring Bobby Lashley, Ricochet, Samoa Joe, and Hook. The winner will challenge Hangman Adam Page in Newark.
The second 4-Way will determine the number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Titles. FTR, JetSpeed, Jurassic Express, and the Young Bucks will compete for the right to challenge Brodido for the gold at Full Gear.
