WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross previously announced that he will be off AEW Dynamite for the next few weeks as he starts treatments for skin cancer.
Ross is set to undergo 22 radiation treatments during this time with the hope that he can make his return to the announce desk on December 29th in Jacksonville, FL.
Rafael Morffi, who works for AEW in their live event business, tweeted the following update on Ross where he noted the legendary announcer is staying focused and strong regarding the challenge.
“Spent the entire holiday week with JR in Jacksonville & at work in Chicago -he’s strong, focused & ready to face this challenge. Look forward to hopefully having him back better than ever @dailysplace #AEWDynamite 12/29 & for @AEW ‘s @TBSNetwork debut 1/5 from Newark’s @PruCenter.”
On behalf of everyone at WrestlingNews.co, we wish Ross the best during this tough time and look forward to his return to broadcasting.
