Wardlow may be trying to be wishful thinking when it comes to a recent injury scare that he had during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite match when he scored a win over Komander.
Concern
He was favoring his knee after a pair of drop kicks but continued through the match. He started shaking his knee loose, but the concern wasn’t until he powerbombed Komander at the end of the match as his knee slightly gave out, and the move looked awkward.
He could be seen muttering “f**k” afterward and limping, slamming his hands on the ring steps. He did take to Twitter to note that he was fine.

A normal man’s knee would be ruined. I’m no normal man. I’m still coming for the heavyweight title. And there’s nothing and no one that can stop me. Knee is just fine 🐺 #AEWDynamite

His status
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer reported that Wardlow is not fine.
Alvarez: “Wardlow says he is fine. I have been told that it’s not fine.”
Dave Meltzer: “I was told that he was hurt.”
Alvarez: “I was told he’s getting checked out tomorrow. They think it’s possibly a torn meniscus, but that he dodged a bullet, and it wasn’t much worse, and he’ll probably be alright. But he definitely is not fine. Something went wrong.”
